We are youth led, youth composed and a woman –headed (Executive Director) civil society entity. The average age of our staff is under 36 years of age. The NGO is being founded and established by a group of adult young men and women from Eastern Equatoria State (EES). Root of Generations (RG) is based in South Sudan with support office in Juba and has had field offices in EES and CES as of 2018.

We empower South Sudanese youths, gender-based violence survivors, conflict related sexual violence survivors, women in the lowest income group and marginalised, vulnerable socio –economically groups to sustain their equal participation, recovery, self-reliance, well-being and dignity.

We work with partners including civil society, the private sector, UN Agencies and government institutions to achieve our mission, vision and objectives that focus afore said groups.

Our work supports women, especially girls, to access their rights to education, health, protection and economic security. We are also working to bring lasting positive change to a country.

We strive to advance youth’s rights, equality and equity for girls and women, and ensure that all children, families and communities actively participate in their country’s peace and development.
